Webquest 2

Retained placenta in cattle
Definition: Failure to expel the foetal membranes within 12 to 24 h after calving.
Delayed placental separation predisposes cows to acute puerperium metritis and endometritis post partum through:
·         increased bacterial multiplication in the uterus
·         impairment of immune function of endometrial macrophages and neutrophiles by bacterial endotoxins

Cystic ovarian disease (COD) in cattle
Cystic Ovarian Disease (COD) and follicular persistency can be described as an Anovulatory condition with Follicle Growth to Ovulatory or Larger Size of Follicle.

Mastitis in dairy cattle
is the persistent, inflammatory reaction of the udder tissue.
Mastitis occurs when white blood cells (leukocytes), are released into the mammary gland, usually in response to an invasion of bacteria of the teat canal. Milk-secreting tissue, and various ducts throughout the mammary gland are damaged due to toxins by the bacteria. Mastitis can also occur as a result of chemical, mechanical, or thermal injury. The udder sac is hard, tight, and firm.

Subclinical ketosis
is defined as high serum ketone body concentrations without observed clinical signs.
Subclinical ketosis causes delayed reproductive functions return to normal after calving, increased intervals from calving to first and last service, and an increased frequency of ovarian cyst

Hepatic lipidosis
is a major metabolic disorder of many dairy cows in early lactation and is associated with decreased health status and reproductive performance. In severe cases, milk production and feed intake are decreased. Fatty liver develops when the hepatic uptake of lipids exceeds the oxidation and secretion of lipids by the liver, which usually is preceded by high concentrations of plasma NEFA mobilized from adipose tissue.

A Country I would like to visit

10 lugares que deberías visitar antes de que desaparezcan

A place I would like to visit
that place could be madagascar
I would like to travel to Madagascar because I think it’s such a beautiful place, with so much fauna and flora
What I know about this place,
is the fourth-largest island in the world, following the prehistoric breakup of the supercontinent gondwana, Madagascar split from india around 88 million years ago, allowing native plants and animal to evolve in relative isolation so madagascar’s fauna is diverse and exhibits a high rate of endemism, is a biodiversity hotspot
I would like to know the different places, watch the environment look at the, learn about
That culture, Each of the many ethnic sub-groups in Madagascar adhere to their own set of beliefs, practices and ways of life that have historically contributed to their unique identities. However, there are a number of core cultural features that are common throughout the island, creating a strongly unified Malagasy cultural identity, it would be very interesting learn about them
But unfortunately Madagascar's varied fauna and flora are endangered by human activity

Since the arrival of humans around 2,350 years ago, Madagascar has lost more than 90 percent of its original forest, if the deforestation continues at that rate probably everything would disappear

A song I like

                                                                 “je veux” by ZAZ

She is a french Singer songwrither  who mixes jazzy styles  and some french variety, she is most known for this hit.
I like this song because it makes me  happy, the rhythm it's fast like a trot and the way she sings express a lot of feeling she seems so happy and natural that makes me want to sing to, also i like the lyrics of the song where she talks about that  she prefers the love, hapiness, and the good mood before the money, that she’s tired of the appearances, just want to be free of all, fresh and happy, it’s a cute song and i really like it.

It’s a contagious song  and i hope you like it  :)

Expressing Opinions

My opinion about...

Same sex relation ships
I agree with this kind of relation ships, personally i think that everyone is free to choose the person they want to be with, it doesn't matter the sex of that person, it doesn't matter what the society or nature or religion says, for me, love it's to everyone and it shouldn't be a kind of racist on that.

A 100% vegetarian diet
I agree, actually I'm vegan and i'm really happy with the diet i have now, it's healthy and it doesn't bring animal suffering, maybe a lot of people and the society will say that you can't live without meet but that's not true, that's a cultural prejudice, in the time i been vegan i really feel good with myself so in this topic i'm completely agree with (:

Tattos and piercing
I dont mind really, personally i like tattos and pircings,  i believe that it's a decision up to itself
you are the one who can choose what to do with your body, so if someone want to do it, it's fine and if another person doesn't want it's fine too.

Having exotic pets
im not totally agree with this because i think that animals belongs to they natural habitat, and we shouldn't take them out of there, but that's a fact and we take them out so if someone have one it's okay as long as that person take the responsability of have a good care of that animal and look after during the animal's life, the person can't throw away that animal, has to take care, that's what i think.

Racist people
I completaly disagree with this people, for me the racism it shouldn't even exist because i think  we all have the same rights, no one is less than me and i'm not more than anyone, we are all the same, so i don't like the racism so  i don't share the same opinion with a racist person.
